The children worked together to make the streets of Southgate when they were studying the local area.

To help Year 1 consolodate their learning, of sequencing words and numbers 1 - 20, they played a very calm relay game in the hall this Maths lesson.
Year 1 are learning about number and place value this week. They have been actively engaging their learning by being a human number line strating with the smallest number zero up to the largest number thirty. The children have had to position themselves and each other in the correct order from the lowest value to the highest and reverse.
Once you have perfected all the moves why not challenge yourself to follow Charlotte on a full run through! Turn up the volume and get dancing!!!
Follow the routine as Charlotte demonstrates each section. This is slower then the final routine so you can practice body shape and footwork until you have perfected each section! Practise as much as you can because the performance is in March!
Year 1 had a special visit from a very special guest on their first day back at school after the Christmas holidays. Ms Rosalind, a model, flew all the way from France to visit Southgate and has invited Year 1 to take part in a fashion show at school. Hopefully Ms Rosalind will make a guest appearance at the fashion show which is to be held in the school hall in a few weeks time. So whatch this space...
The rooms, the magician and the first restaurant together. The children have loved every minute of the trip. They went to school today and have already made friends from all over the world! We went and had a lovely meal in San Pedro. More videos tomorrow!

Your children were awesome today and we are really proud of them. They overcame their fears, swam into caves, jumped off cliffs and had a fabulous time!
